The National Military Strategic Plan for the War on Terrorism (NMSP-WOT) presents the US armed forces strategy for prosecuting the global war on terrorism. The document reflects on the lessons learned in the last four years, including the findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission and an examination of counterterrorism policies and approaches within the US Department of Defense (DoD) by the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
