This document presents the national security strategy of the United States. The strategy is founded upon two pillars. The first pillar is promoting freedom, justice, and human dignity. The second pillar is confronting the challenges of the time by leading a growing community of democracies. The document addresses various security issues, such as terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. It argues for an America that continues to lead, both through military and non-military actions.
