The Defence Strategy of the Republic of Poland outlines assumptions underlying the operation of the state's defence. It identifies the functions and structure of the state’s defence system and maps out the main directions of the development of its subsystems, while further detailing and developing the defence provisions laid down in the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Poland adopted by the Council of Ministers, and subsequently approved by the President of the Republic of Poland on 13 November 2007.
