This presentation provides insights into Romania's priorities and objectives in the area of foreign relations and national security. It elaborates on the primacy of good neighbourhood and regional cooperation, highlighting the importance of Romania’s integration within the EU and the consolidation of Romania’s position within NATO, along with the objective of promoting economic, cultural as well as parliamentarian diplomacy. It further introduces the main objectives of Romania's national defense policy, namely the consolidation of Romania's status as a contributor to regional and global security, as well as the strengthening of civil and democratic control of the armed forces.
