Developed for the first time in the Republic of Serbia as an independent state, the 2010 White Paper discusses the country's vision of the defence system. It is based on the vision of Serbia as a European Union member country, and integrated into collective security systems. In order to achieve these objectives the Ministry of Defence has undertaken the reform aimed at building an effective defence system, ensuring a stable operation of that system and creation of conditions for its interoperability with the systems of other countries included in European security structures and NATO Partnership for Peace programme.
