This document sets out a new vision for the Canadian Forces, grounded in the realities of the post-Cold War and post-September 11th world. It announces a reorganization of the Canadian Forces to tighten their focus on their primary mandate: protecting Canada, but also defending North America in cooperation with the United States, and contributing to international peace and security.
