The National Security Concept of Estonia establishes the objective, principles and directions of the country's security policy. The goal of the Estonian security policy as put forth in this document is to safeguard Estonia's independence and sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutional order and public safety. Emphasizing that NATO serves as the cornerstone of European security and defense, the document highlights Estonia's membership in both, NATO and EU, and examines its relations with other international partners.
