This strategy statement tracks the modernization process of the Irish Defence Forces. It reviews the reorganization so far and provides an outlook on major investments in the future. The key goals of the strategy are (1) the creation of a modern civil and military organization capable of achieving its mission and discharging its mandate and roles; (2) the creation of a high performance organization in which people are expected and enabled to achieve their full potential and where merit and effort are acknowledged; and (3) achieving value for money through the best use of the financial, material and human resources.
