This National Defence Directive aims to guide Spanish defense policy toward preventing, deterring and responding to future security challenges. It provides an overview of contemporary strategic security challenges, reviews the objectives of Spain’s defense policies, and provides details of security policies that will be carried out in the next legislative term.
