The Estonian Ministry of Defence is a government agency that performs the duties pursuant to laws and follows the guidelines given by the government of the republic. These duties include working out proposals for planning of the defense policy and implementing the plans; working out the general plan for national defense; arranging preparation and implementation of mobilization, arranging the subsequent record management and training of reservists; arranging, financing and supervising the activities of the Defence Forces and the Defence League; developing the defense industry and drafting subsequent legislation.
