Excellence in Cybersecurity Research Award

The Cyberdefense Project Team from the Center for Security Studies (CSS) was honored with the "Excellence in Cybersecurity Research Award" at the Global Cyber Conference in Zurich.

The Cyberdefense Project team of the Center for Security Studies was honored to be selected by the Swiss Cyber Institute to receive this year's “Excellence in Cybersecurity Research” Award. This prestigious recognition celebrates the exceptional contributions that the CSS has made to advancing cybersecurity research and highlights the CSS' commitment to pioneering studies that shape the future of the cybersecurity landscape.

Stefan Soesanto, Senior Researcher and Leader of the Cyber Defense team, Senior Researchers Eugenio Benincasa and Clémence Poirier as well as Researcher Sarah Wiedemar and PhD candidate Jennifer Victoria Scurrell were happy to accept the award at the Global Cyber Conference in Zurich in November 2024. The prize honours the work of all members of the CSS cyber cluster, which also includes Senior Scientist and Deputy for Research and Teaching at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) Myriam Dunn Cavelty, Senior Researchers Max Smeets, Lennart Maschmeyer, Sean Cordey and Resarch Assistant Wiktoria Gajos.
