Fabio Schmocker

Fabio Schmocker is a research and teaching assistant to Prof. Andreas Wenger at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich.

Before that, he completed his Master's degree in Comparative and International Studies at ETH Zurich and his Bachelor's degree in International Relations at the University of Geneva.

At ETH Zurich, he received extensive training in quantitative methods, with a focus on conflict research. He wrote his Master's thesis on the impact of state investment in sports on a state's international image, using Saudi Arabia as an example. At the University of Geneva, he focused on international economics and international law.

His research interests include the nexus of sport and international relations, as well as the impact of experienced violence on conflict resolution and transitional justice.
