Immanuel Rummel is a researcher working with Prof. Andreas Wenger at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich. He conducts research on German and European strategic issues, with a focus on grand strategy and deterrence. He also supports Prof. Wenger's research and teaching activities.
Before joining CSS, Immanuel completed his MSc in International Relations (Research) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with distinction and best overall performance. There, he was also awarded the Martin Wight Dissertation Prize for his MSc dissertation on Germany's Zeitenwende and changing strategic culture. In parallel, he was also a junior advisor for foreign and security policy for a parliamentary group in the Swiss parliament.
