ETH Workshop: "Sicherheitspolitische Strategie 2025"

On 13 September 2024, the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich organised a workshop on the Security Policy Strategy 2025.

The aim of this workshop was to facilitate an in-depth exchange between politics, administration, science, business and civil society on the future security policy strategy. Key conceptual and political-social aspects were to be examined from a overall perspective and corresponding approaches and ideas discussed. The focus was on the report of the Security Policy Study Commission, the question of the core content of Strategy 2025 and various aspects of defence capability. The workshop was divided into four different panels.

Panel 2: Security Policy Strategy 2025: Why and with what core content? - Security policy perspectives and prospects for civil-military cooperation

Panel 3: Hardening the core: What does defence capability mean today? - Capabilities and options in the core areas of technology level, armaments and international cooperation

Panel 4: Political expectations - Swiss security policy, quo vadis? - Representatives of the security policy commissions in dialogue
