This Warsaw Pact war plan was prepared by the Soviet General Staff and discovered in the Czech military archives in Prague. The war plan is based on the Warsaw Pact assumption of a quickly repulsed initial NATO strike and a decisive Soviet-led counter-offensive into the heart of Western Europe within nine days. The most striking aspect of the war plan is its assumption of the routine use of nuclear weapons by both sides. The dossier includes commentaries by Czech historian Petr Lunák, PHP coordinator Vojtech Mastny and other experts.
