This report summarizes the main issues raised during a forum on environmental NGOs and journalists. Through a grant from the U.S. Institute of Peace, the Woodrow Wilson Center Environmental Change and Security Project organized a forum in Hong Kong for 65 environmentalists and journalists from the three areas of Greater China. The goal of this forum was to discuss improving the capacity of environmental nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the quality of environmental reporting in the region. This includes the environmental movement in China, NGO networking and partnering strategies, environmental education methods, NGO capacity building, and environmental journalism in China.
