This Saferworld submission to the UN High Level Panel of Eminent Persons contributes to the post-2015 development framework. It explains the lessons learned from the Millennium Development Goals and outlines priority development areas. The submission suggests issues that the new framework should address and urges greater accountability at the domestic and international levels. It concludes by arguing for the importance of comprehensive state-society relations, involving the private and public spheres, in order to improve the economic and security situation of the world's poorest people.
