This book presents the results of the 2012 Global Presence Index, which measures the global presence of 60 countries and the EU in the world order, as well as the European Presence Index, which measures the presence of EU countries in Europe. The authors argue that these indices show the situation and historical evolution of countries’ external projection. They also explain the indices’ relevance and methodology and comment on its main findings for the year 2012 and the implications they suggest they have for the global order.
