This paper examines the provisions in the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT)- which will become international law in December 2014 - that relate to information sharing between states party to the treaty. It also examines what measures can be taken by states and other actors to ensure the effective sharing of information on arms transfers and control systems between parties to the ATT.
