This investigation employs data from the World Health Organization to examine cross-national variation in the level of health expenditures in relation to achievement of health outcomes. The authors demonstrate that their results show the utility of modeling health expenditures and using expenditures as an explanatory variable for achievement in health care. They conclude with suggestions for future research on the relationship between public expenditures and health care achievement.
