In this publication, the author demonstrates how community‐based early warning and early response mechanisms can play a transformative role in preventing violence. That’s because the group approach 1) provides the space that’s needed for structured and inclusive dialogue, and 2) reminds stakeholders that building true peace is a local, long-term and relationships-based process.
