The National Institute of Japanese Studies (NIJS) is an international center of excellence collaborative endeavor between the departments of East Asian Studies at the University of Leeds and Sheffield under the umbrella of the White Rose East Asia Centre and the White Rose university consortium. It brings together social sciences and humanities research training on Japan.
