The European Defence Agency (EDA) is a EU institution with the mission to support the Council and the Member States in their effort to improve the European Union’s defense capabilities for the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP). It does this by running and supporting cooperative European defense projects; supporting research and technology development; boosting the European defense technological and industrial base; and providing a forum for European Ministries of Defense.
