The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations for meteorology, operational hydrology and related geophysical sciences. The WMO coordinates global scientific activity in meteorology to promote cooperation, facilitate free and unrestricted exchange of data and information, and monitor and protect the environment.
