Risk and Resilience

The Risk and Resilience Section of the CSS Think Tank brings together the Resilience and Crisis Management and Cybersecurity teams to study the causes, consequences, and solutions related to socio-technical risks. By combining expertise in societal resilience, crisis preparedness and response, and digital security, the section provides analysis and evidence-based insights to support resilience in critical systems and institutions.

Section Head

Dr. Myriam Dunn Cavelty focuses on how digital technologies influence political behaviour and societal values and on how and why specific arrangements to govern the use of digital technologies emerge, with particular attention to how technologies are embedded in social, political, and economic processes.
