Workshop: "UN Peacekeeping at 75"

Description: Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), this workshop provides a platform to contemplate the role of UN peacekeeping in ensuring peace and security. It also serves as an opportunity to discern the current challenges and opportunities faced by UN peacekeeping. Participants will explore themes including consent, impartiality, the use of force, protection of civilians, early warning systems, political dynamics at local levels, partnership peacekeeping, and the geopolitical landscape of peacekeeping missions.

The workshop aims to culminate in a forum article in International Peacekeeping, summarizing the contributions and discussions of the workshop. Participants are welcome to be listed as authors, reflecting on established research and setting the stage for future inquiries on UN peacekeeping.
