Established in 1994, the Center for the Study of Mass Destruction focuses on the potential impact of WMD weapons on US and global security. In particular, its researchers concentrate on 1) new and evolving WMD threats, including nuclear terrorism; 2) bioterrorism and nontraditional agents, and 3) assisting military commands to deal with the operational impact of chemical and biological weapons.
