The Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes explores the history of communist totalitarian domination in Central and Eastern Europe. More specifically, it examines 1) the anti-democratic and criminal activities of past state bodies, especially the security services; 2) the participation of both local and foreign elements in support of communist regimes, as well as in resistance to them; 3) the criminal activity of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ), etc.
