The United States-Mexico Border Health Commission (USMBHC) was created as a bi-national health commission in 2000 and designated as a public international organization in 2004. Its mission is to provide international leadership to optimize health and quality of life along the US-Mexico border. USMBHC is comprised of the federal secretaries of health, the chief health officers ot the 10 border states and prominent community health professionals from both nations.
