The International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) brings together NGOs from all over the world to strengthen the normative consensus on the responsibility to protect (RtoP) principal. More specifically, the organization 1) works to further the understanding of this contested princpal; 2) pushes for strengthened capacities to prevent and halt genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity; and 3) mobilizes NGOs to push for greater action to save lives in RtoP country-specific situations.
