The NASA Orbital Debris Program Office is the lead center for space debris research at the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Among other tasks, the program 1) plays a leading role in developing the technical consensus that's needed to protect users of outer space, and 2)conducts orbital debris research in the following areas: modeling, measurements, protection, mitigation and re-entry.
