Organizations and Resources Network

The Earthquake Research Institute (ERI) at the University of Tokyo draws from diverse fields, ranging from seismology to volcanology, geophysics, geochemistry, geology, geodesy, applied mathematics, information science, civil engineering and seismic engineering to promote research on earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Its aim is to scientifically unravel the various phenomena within the earth and seismic or volcanic activities on earth and to mitigate disasters from such phenomena.
