Organizations and Resources Network

The Basel Action Network (BAN) is a charitable organization in the United States that focuses on confronting the global trade in toxic wastes, products and technologies, as well as the impact of the trade. It also works to promote 1) national self-sufficiency in waste management, primarily through the clean production and reduced use of toxic goods, and 2) the principle of global environmental justice, which argues that no people or environment should be disproportionately poisoned and polluted due to the effects of uncontrolled market forces and trade.
