Organizations and Resources Network

Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) is a global action-research-policy network that seeks to improve the status of the working poor in the informal economy, especially women. It seeks to increase the voice, visibility, and validity of the working poor and women in the informal economy by supporting and strengthening organizations of the working poor, undertaking and sponsoring research, and promoting mainstream recognition of the working poor in informal employment as legitimate economic agent.
