The Durable Rust Resistance in Wheat Project (DRRW) aims to reduce systematically the world's vulnerability to stem rust diseases of wheat through an international collaboration unprecedented in scale and scope. It hopes to mitigate the threat of inability of farmers to meed demand for wheat by supporting coordinated pathogen surveillance activities, and breeding initiatives.
