Kadir Has University's Center for International and European Studies (CIES) conducts policy-oriented research and debates on the major geostrategic issues facing the greater Middle East. Its areas of interest include EU institutions and policies; 'horizontal' issues such as regional cooperation and security, particularly around the Black Sea, Mediterranean and Southeastern Europe regions; Turkish-Greek relations, and transatlantic relations.
