Femin Ijtihad stands for 'critical thinking', particularly in relation to gender issues and laws. Its research methods are designed to bridge the gap between academic scholarship and activism, and therefore provide relevant and simplified academic scholarship on Muslim’s women's rights to activists and organizations working at the grassroots.
