The multilingual Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) is an advocacy organization that works with governments, legal and justice systems, human rights institutions and civil society to prevent torture and other forms of ill-treatment. In particular, APT provides 1) legal advice to institutions and individuals involved in torture prevention activities, 2) training and capacity-building programs, 3) research and analysis on the causes of torture and ill-treatment, 4) networking opportunities, 5) and practical tools and resources.
