The Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) is part of the American University of Beirut (AUB). It's overarching purpose is to harness the policy-related research of AUB's faculty and other scholars and use it to contribute to Arab policy-making and international relations. By accomplishing this objective, the IFI aims to 1) raise the quality of public policy-related debate and decision-making in the Arab World and abroad; 2) enhance the Arab World's input into international affairs; and, 3) enrich the quality of interaction among scholars, officials and civil society actors in the Middle East and abroad.
