The York Centre for International and Security Studies (YCISS), which is a research unit of York University, focuses its attention on international peace and security issues. In doing so, it conducts critical and theoretically-informed research from the local to the global level. The research, in turn, deliberately accounts for the ethical and political dimensions of security, foreign and defense policies.
