The online "Small Wars Journal" facilitates the exchange of information between 'thought leaders', practitioners, and students of limited or 'small' wars. In doing so, the journal's staff and contributors seek to improve the overall knowledge, practices, and techniques of those those who are involved in these types of conflicts, and who work primarily for the benefit of freedom and prosperity-seeking peoples who are directly affected by violence.
