The Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect promotes the universal acceptance and implementation of the 'Responsibility to Protect' (R2P), both as a norm and a doctrine. It does so by serving as a resource and a forum for governments, international institutions and NGOs to protect populations from mass atrocities.
