The Democratization Policy Council (DPC) is a global initiative that 1) promotes accountability in democratization processes, and 2) assists peaceful democratic transitions through research, analysis and advocacy. The Council pursues these ends because it believes that the world's existing democracies can assist in accelerating peaceful democratic change, both out of self-interest and a sense of responsibility.
