The Center for the Study of Violence of the University of São Paulo (NEV/USP) explores the relationship between violence, democracy and human rights. As part of this broad investigation, the center is currently engaged in analyzing the form of democratic governance that is developing in Brazil as well as the human rights violations that are occurring in the country.
