The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) is a private, nonpartisan and policy-oriented think tank that focuses on foreign affairs, security issues and Japanese foreign policy. In addition to performing wide-ranging research projects, the institute pursues joint studies with other institutions and experts, and disseminates information on international relations to the general public.
