The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is a private organization dedicated to social justice, democracy and pluralism. Its goals include furthering the political and social education of individuals, facilitating access to university education and research by providing scholarships, and contributing to international understanding and cooperation. The FES achieves this through research, conferences and through its representations in 70 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
