The Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service was established to focus specifically on the conduct of foreign policy, and lessons learnt from direct experience the field. The Institute aims to pass on knowledge gained from direct involvement in diplomacy to students, policymakers and the private foreign affairs community. It achieves this through teaching and publications, and conducts research on a range of issues including war and peace, cybersecurity and climate change, human security, and good governance.
