The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is a nonpartisan and nonprofit organization that supports the right of citizens to participate in free and fair elections. More specifically, the IFES strives to advance good governance and democratic rights by 1) providing technical assistance to election officials; 2) empowering the underrepresented to participate in political processes; and 3) applying field-based research to improve electoral cycles.
