The Halo Trust is a non-partisan, non-religious organization that specializes in removing 'the hazardous debris of war' in Central and Southeast Asia, the Horn of Africa, Southern Africa, the Caucasus and the Balkans. To fulfill its charter, halo employs almost 8,000 full-time mine clearers in nine countries. It also conducts ongoing surveys to determine if it needs to introduce its services in new regions.
