The Swiss National Platform for Natural Hazards (PLANAT) is an extra-parliamentary commission that provides consultancy services to the Swiss Federal Council. The main objective of PLANAT is to promote a paradigm shift from just trying to protect against hazards to a more dynamic risk management approach.
